Log home in Stockholm, Sweden
We produced and built this log house to order for a young family on Tynningö Island in the Stockholm archipelago in 2017. The island can be reached by ferry, water taxi or private boat. The trip from central Stockholm takes 40 minutes. The island boasts pristine pine forests and true tranquility while being within sight of the big city.
The walls of the house were made from pine glulam, while the floors are timber and stone and the ceiling was made from wood. The walls and ceilings were finished with natural oils and waxes. Much use is made of smart technologies in the house, which is generously insulated. The windows are triple-glazed, and the house boasts an integrated geothermal heating and heat-recovery ventilation system.
We can build your entire home from entirely biological construction materials – 0% chemicals means a toxin-free home and a healthier life.
